Manitoba’s New Immigration Pathways for International Students

Manitoba released new Immigration pathways for international students on November 1st. These programs do not apply to international students who graduated in another province.

The two new  Immigration Pathway for International Students are the international student entrepreneur pathway and graduate internship pathway. They are a component of  the Manitoba provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) renewal program that was announced in November, 2017.

International student entrepreneur pathway students must have a minimum two-year program at a Manitoba post-secondary institution and invest in and actively manage a business.

Graduate internship pathway is open to international student who complete a master’s or PhD program at a Manitoba University and obtain a qualifying internship supported by Mitacs.
